PINT-AE is the UAE's e-invoicing data format. Instead of a PDF or Excel invoice that a computer can't reliably read, PINT-AE is a structured XML file — built on the international "Peppol" e-invoicing network — that tax systems and accounting software can process automatically.
The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has published technical guidance requiring businesses to eventually issue invoices in this format instead of plain PDFs, spreadsheets, or paper.
If you invoice customers in the UAE and are VAT-registered, yes — eventually. The rollout is phased, so most small businesses have time to prepare:
From Excel, Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks, export or save your invoice as a CSV or Excel (.xlsx) file.
Drag and drop the file below, or click to browse. Nothing is sent anywhere — it stays on your device.
We'll guess which columns match which fields. Confirm the guess, or map each field yourself.
Follow the plain-language checklist to see exactly what your invoice is missing, if anything.
Once your required fields are mapped, download a free PINT-AE compliant XML file — no signup needed.
or click to browse · accepts .csv, .xlsx, .xls
We scanned your file's column headers and matched them to PINT-AE fields automatically. Review below and correct anything that looks wrong, then confirm.
Upload and confirm a mapping to see your score.
Most UAE SMEs currently issue invoices as PDFs or Excel sheets. That works for a human reading the invoice, but it has zero structured compliance value once e-invoicing becomes mandatory — tax authorities and trading partner systems need machine-readable XML, not a picture of an invoice. Getting familiar with the PINT-AE format now, well before your mandatory date, avoids a scramble later.
Check whether the invoices your accounting software already produces contain everything a compliant e-invoice needs, without hiring a consultant just to find out.
Quickly audit client invoice exports for missing TRNs, VAT breakdowns, or totals before the mandatory rollout reaches their revenue bracket.
Use the generated XML as a reference starting point for UBL 2.1 / PINT-AE structure while building or testing an ERP or invoicing integration.
PINT-AE is the UAE's official e-invoicing data format, based on the international Peppol network's XML standard. Instead of sending a PDF or Excel invoice, businesses will need to send a structured XML file that tax systems and accounting software can read automatically. It matters because the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is rolling out mandatory e-invoicing, and a plain PDF or Excel invoice has no compliance value under the new system.
No. This tool runs entirely inside your web browser. Your invoice file is never uploaded to a server, never stored, and never seen by Layerbit. All parsing, compliance checking, and XML generation happen locally on your device, and everything disappears the moment you close or refresh the page.
Based on published FTA timelines, e-invoicing is voluntary from July 2026, becomes mandatory from January 2027 for businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more, and becomes mandatory for all other VAT-registered businesses from July 2027. Always confirm your exact obligation date with the FTA or your tax advisor, as phased rollouts can be adjusted.
Most accounting tools can export one. In Excel, use File > Save As and choose CSV. In Tally, use Export (Alt+E) and select the Excel or CSV format for your sales register or invoice report. In Zoho Books and QuickBooks, open the Invoices list and use the Export button, choosing CSV or Excel. If none of that is available, you can build a simple spreadsheet by hand with one row per invoice line item and column headers like Invoice Number, Invoice Date, Buyer TRN, Description, Quantity, Unit Price, VAT Rate, and VAT Amount, then upload that file here.
No. This tool is provided free and as-is, based on publicly available Peppol and FTA technical guidance — it is not an officially certified or FTA-approved compliance tool. Always have your Accredited Service Provider (ASP) or a qualified tax advisor verify the final XML before you file. See our Terms of Service for full details.
