They are written to be read rather than skimmed past — each section says what we are responsible for, what you are responsible for, and where the boundary between the two sits. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the site.
Layerbit provides three distinct categories of service, and the terms that apply to you depend on which of them you are using.
We also publish written engineering guides. Those are editorial content, offered in good faith and corrected when we are shown to be wrong, but they are not a substitute for reading the specification that governs whatever you are building.
You may use Layerbit for lawful purposes only. Specifically, you agree not to:
We do not require an account, so we have no ability to suspend an individual user. Where use crosses into abuse of the hosting infrastructure, the available remedies are technical ones applied at the network level.
You are solely responsible for the data, code and content you put into any Layerbit tool. Our local tools never transmit your input to us — which means we cannot lose it, but equally cannot recover it for you. Two consequences follow. First, you remain responsible for confirming you are entitled to process whatever you paste in, and for meeting any data protection obligations that attach to it in your own jurisdiction. Second, anything held only in a browser tab is not saved anywhere: closing the tab, reloading, or a crash loses it, so keep your own copy of work that matters.
The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We test them and correct defects we find, but we do not guarantee that they are error-free, uninterrupted, or correct for your particular input.
This matters most where a tool interprets a format that has ambiguities. A parser can disagree with another parser and both be defensible; a formatter can reshape valid input into something a stricter downstream consumer rejects; a decoder can show you the contents of a token without telling you whether that token is trustworthy. Where a tool's limits are known, the tool's own page documents them, and you should read that page before relying on its output. You assume full responsibility for independently validating any output before using it in production, security-critical or compliance-related work.
Tools that reference tax, regulatory or compliance frameworks — including the UAE PINT-AE Compliance Checker — are free informational aids, prepared from publicly available government and industry technical guidance such as UAE Federal Tax Authority and Peppol International documentation. They are not certified, approved or endorsed by any government authority, and they do not constitute tax, legal, financial or regulatory advice.
A structural check is not a compliance opinion: an invoice can satisfy every rule a checker knows about and still be rejected, because the authoritative rule set changes, contains business rules a document cannot express on its own, and is ultimately enforced by the receiving system rather than by us. Layerbit Technologies and its owner accept no liability for any tax assessment, penalty, rejected filing, audit finding or other consequence arising from use of these tools or reliance on their output. Verify any compliance-related output — including generated XML — with a qualified tax advisor, licensed accountant or Accredited Service Provider before relying on it for an official submission.
The content of this site — tool logic, written guides, graphics, design assets, branding and source code — is the intellectual property of Layerbit Technologies unless otherwise noted. Reproducing the tools or their code wholesale for redistribution or commercial resale is prohibited. Quoting a guide with attribution and a link is welcome.
You retain ownership of everything you put into the tools. We claim no licence over your input, for the straightforward reason that we never receive it. Software delivered under a paid engagement is licensed to that client on the terms set out in the engagement agreement, not under this page.
The site serves advertising through Google AdSense, measures traffic with Google Analytics 4, and uses a Google Firebase Realtime Database for the homepage visitor counter and for LayerLink signalling. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which we cannot vary on your behalf. Our Privacy Policy sets out precisely what each one receives.
Guides and tool pages link to external specifications, RFCs and vendor documentation. We link to them because they are the authoritative source, not because we control them; we are not responsible for their content or availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Layerbit Technologies and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the tools or services — including data loss, business interruption, or loss arising from reliance on tool output. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in question, which for the free tools is nothing.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any tool or feature. In September 2026 we retired three tools that depended on third-party lookup APIs for breach data, URL reputation and IP geolocation, because we could not stand behind results we did not compute and could not verify. We would rather remove a tool than leave one in place that we cannot vouch for, and we will make the same call again if a dependency becomes unreliable.
These Terms may be revised periodically. The updated version is posted on this page with a new date at the top, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. If a revision materially reduces your rights, the change will be described in the section it affects rather than absorbed silently into the text.
Layerbit Technologies is an independent software studio based in the United Arab Emirates. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the competent courts of the UAE shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you hold under the law of your own country of residence, which these Terms do not attempt to displace.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remainder continues in force. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of it on another.
